Chichester Through the Lens of Time (U)

Chichester Through the Lens of Time

To celebrate this year’s Heritage Open Days, we are proud to be showing a wonderfully nostalgic hour-long montage of films from a bygone Chichester, spanning five decades from 1915 onwards.

Capturing Market Cross, The Guildhall, The Corn Exchange, Cathedral, Bishops Garden, a visit from the Queen in 1956 and nautical family scenes from Itchenor, Bosham and Bracklesham Bay.  The event will be introduced by local historian Alan Green.  A wistful delight and a great way to spend a Saturday morning! We thank the New Park Centre for this event collaboration and the BFI and Screen Archive South East at the University of Brighton for the use of their archive materials.
