This latest Ridley Scott film, based on Peter Heller's novel, is set in a post-apocalyptic world, a virus wipes out humanity leaving survivors to face an uncertain future in this new thriller from Ridley Scott.
After a virus has wiped out most of humanity, survivors are now being terrorised by roaming scavengers called "Reapers”. Hig (Jacon Elordi), is a pilot who has survived his friends and family, his wife included. He now lives in the hangar of a small, abandoned airport with his dog, and his only neighbour, a gun-toting ex-Marine played with gusto by Josh Brolin. When a random transmission somehow beams through his radio, the voice ignites a hope deep inside him that a better life might exist if he flies a bit further and ventures into the unknown in search of hope and humanity. The cast includes the wonderful Allison Janney and actress du jour, Margaret Qualley.
