Santiago: The Camino Therapy. (15)

Santiago: The Camino Therapy.

Compostelle

A woman carrying a past she's trying to come to terms with, and a rebellious teenager struggling to contain anger issues, set out on the famous El Camino pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela.

Adam (Julien Le Berre) is an angry teenager who must walk 800 kilometres on the Camino de Santiago to avoid juvenile detention. He forms an unlikely bond with Fred (Alexandra Lamy), a tough and outspoken woman seeking her own healing. The trail quickly becomes a space for confrontation but then slowly turns into a catalyst for much needed healing. This film is based on a true story that turned out to be a life-changing journey for both. Look out for the magnificent landscapes gorgeously portrayed on the big screen, that will no doubt have you reaching for your passport. The film speaks to some of today’s deepest aspirations: slowing down, reconnecting with nature and finding meaning beyond the noise of modern life, along with the notion that a second chance can help teenagers in conflict find their way again.
