In this insightful and engaging drama, we get two separate stories of two everyday people in two very different locations, both dealing with their own 'ordinary battles'.
Archie Panjabi plays a hard-working nurse doing her best to run a busy ward while keeping her home life on track. The pressures of an under-staffed hospital mixed with anxious patients contribute to mistakes that can mean life or death. In the second vignette, Daniel Mays plays a man out on an annual ‘buddy trip’ with two best friends, this year being a country trek in the Lake District, as he attempts to rekindle the bonds of the trio’s younger days. This is a very well told drama where most viewers will find something they can relate to. Be it the pressures of a work life, or just the longing for the unbridled joy of a younger self, you will find yourself empathising with the characters.
