Two blustery 50-somethings have an obsession: going for their last drink. One night, they run into a shy architecture student whose way of seeing the world and love will be transformed as the trio wander from bar to bar of Veneto.
Two middle-aged friends, Carlobianchi (Sergio Romano) and Doriano (Pierpaolo Capovilla), swear every boozy beverage will be the last one - until the next one that usually comes right after. To them, the party is never quite over. Thankfully, they never come across as intoxicated creeps, instead, they are tipsy and bickering friends: almost like their bromance is a marriage, Italian style. They often have a hard time remembering the lessons they have learned and revelations they landed on, they do exactly that by taking under their wing the young Giulio (Filippo Scotti), an architecture student who’s adrift and intrigued. Loosely reminiscent of the brilliant 2020 Danish dark comedy ‘Another Round’, or the happy-sad fables of Alice Rohrwacher, Francesco Sossai’s boozy dramedy is an enchanting comedy.
