From that starting point, Norwegian director Kristoffer Borgli crafts an intimate, razor-sharp exploration of love, doubt and the stories we tell ourselves about the people we’re closest to. This is a relationship film with real teeth, one that refuses to let either its characters, or its audience, off the hook.
