The art of the photographer, with still images rather than moving pictures, is a parallel but very different medium to the cinema. Sometimes they are a useful eye for the filmmaker to build a plot around, and in other cases they are the fascinating subjects of documentaries trying to get to the heart of the picture and the talents of the photographers.
